The mission of the Build Your Future Summit (BYF) is to provide education and networking opportunities to young people, especially those who are under represented, with an interest in developing as entrepreneurs in the real estate and construction.

Our event brings together leaders and owners from across the field for a series of panels and workshops on entrepreneurship, real estate, and the construction trades. You’ll hear directly from residential and commercial broker-owners, developers, lenders, attorneys, appraisers, association leaders and more, as they share insights from every corner of the industry.

Each One, Teach One!
Although the primary goal of the Summit was to provide exposure to the real estate industry and encourage entrepreneurship to Black males, BYF has broadened its focus to add careers in the construction trades and provide support and training to all, especially those who are underrepresented in these industries. We have expanded our topics and believe that if each one of us teach one, we will have a lasting impact.
Who We Are
The Build Your Future Summit (BYF) was created, organized, and held to intentionally bring awareness of the real estate and construction trades, to African American males from middle school and beyond. We decided to bring critical resources and information to more people because we recognized from the research that a number of underrepresented groups face acute challenges with high unemployment and lack of income, wealth, opportunities, and exposure.
We demonstrate and teach that well-paying jobs in real estate and the trades are possible. In line with the age-old adage that very few can be what they have not seen, we show and connect participants to successful owners who have come before them.
We are committed to showing our youth and young adults what is possible and what has been accomplished to avoid pie-in-the-sky dreams that sometimes feel unreal or unattainable.
The primary focus of the BYF is the development of underrepresented groups and we welcome all to our events to learn about the possibilities for themselves and the people they love.
