LITERATE LIVES
The Literate Lives program ensures more of our young people are strong readers, writers and thinkers. In Illinois, the percent of African-American children who meet or exceed standards on the SAT or ACT is below 20% year over year. We have to combat low literacy achievement from all angles, through the family, the school and most importantly with the young people.
